Warrie, meaning “rushing water”, describes the watercourses draining from the canyon and the area where they merge at “Meeting of the Waters”. Water continues to erode this ancient landscape formed on the northern flank of the Tweed Shield Volcano, which is one of the best example of eroded volcano in the world.
